Let a Thousand Flowers Bloom is a commissioned work for the new multipurpose building in Rotterdam, housing 2 primary schools. The work consists of 25 printed canvas panels on which flowers are embroidered. The prints show different meshes created by the handwritten names of the schoolchildren with interweaving vertical lines. The flowers were selected and embroidered in cooperation with a number of the schoolchildren's mothers.Commissioned by Jeugd Kansen Zone Zuidwijk, primary school 'Wereld op Zuid' Rotterdam (NL).
