Growing Memories . 2010
Installation realized for the International Sinop Biennal that in 2010 was about Hidden Memories, Lost Traces and took place in the building of the former prison of Sinop (TR).Looking for the original vegetation of Sinop and trying to find out if there is a relation to the floral patterns in the original embroidery of the region, a lot of information is collected talking to the citizens. This information has been the inspiration for the piece Growing Memories. The paper cutouts are fragments of plants of the region. Pieces of text referring to the making process are composed together with drawings of local vegetation made by children in a pattern of typical embroidery of Sinop.
